La Maison du Nourson
One dev, one beard, some pixels
Behind La Maison du Nourson there is just one person: a big bearded guy comfortable in his own skin, who looks exactly like a Nourson, and who spends his evenings coding games from his couch.
My Story
Everyone calls me Nourson. Built like a bear, a full beard, an oversized sweater and a permanent coffee in hand. When my friends were looking for a name for this project, it just imposed itself.
I always wanted to make games that look like me: warm, a little rustic, but with a real hidden depth. Games where you dig : literally and figuratively. PlaneWorld was born from that desire.
I code alone, in my house, surrounded by too many houseplants and a playlist on loop. Every update, every boss, every pixel has passed through my hands. It's slow, it's handcrafted, and I'm proud of it.

My Values
What guides each of my design decisions
Careful Pixel Art
Every sprite, every animation is crafted with care. The retro aesthetic is at the heart of my creative identity.
Deep Gameplay
Accessible yet rich mechanics, designed to offer hours of fun and always something new to discover.
Living World
Worlds that breathe, with natural cycles, ecosystems and dynamic events that make every session unique.
Passion Above All
Every game is developed with genuine passion. No compromise on quality, no predatory mechanics.
My Journey
La Maison du Nourson opens its doors. First concepts for PlaneWorld: procedural generation, day/night cycle, underground exploration.
Core mechanics are in place: movement, crafting, underground exploration. First boss implemented.
Intensive testing phase. All 5 bosses are integrated one by one. First player feedback.
PlaneWorld is officially available on Steam. An adventure that keeps on evolving.
My Philosophy
A Nourson does not overcomplicate things. I believe the best games are those that respect the player: no predatory systems, no pay-to-win, no artificially gated content. Just a complete, well-thought-out game made to last.
Pixel art is not a constraint : it is an expressive visual language that allows you to create unique atmospheres with limited means. Every colour palette, every animation tells a story.
PlaneWorld was designed to be a game you come back to. The procedural generation, the varied progression strategies and the challenging bosses guarantee hours of play without boredom. Like a good couch: you always come back to it.
